A Note from JulieNewsies is a dream show. And directing at TUTS was also achieving a dream that I had had for quite some time.
I am a huge fan of the original movie, and I love how the musical improved upon the story, creating stronger relationship stakes, while maintaining the big choreographed numbers that we know and love.
We had a huge cast of amazing young triple threats who also loved the show so much which meant they were always working on it!! On breaks we’d see them reviewing dance numbers, working harmonies, running lines.
The music, the choreography, the cast… this was one for the books!!
